Seaside transitional housing ‘Yan Chai Residence’ is officially ready for occupancy!

Hong Kong’s transitional housing project ‘Yan Chai Residence,’ constructed by Matrix Living, held its completion and occupancy ceremony on November 28th at Haixing Road, Tsuen Wan. A total of 212 units are available in Renji Xuan.

During the ceremony, Winnie Ho Wing-yin, Director of the Hong Kong Housing Department, said that the ‘Yan Chai Residence’ project used new modular construction methods. She visited the site soon after starting her job last year and now, with great progress, 95% of the units are occupied.

In addition, Mrs. Mary SUEN, Board Member of Yan Chai Hospital, stated in her speech that the occupancy rate of ‘Yan Chai Residence’ has reached 95%, with approximately 200 eligible residents moving in since September this year.

The project consists of 6 equipment electrical enclosures, 10 stairwell enclosures, 3 office modules, and 218 transitional housing modules, with a total floor area of 2286 square meters. Each unit is equipped with an independent bathroom and kitchen area, as well as ventilation fans, air conditioning, water heaters, and electrical equipment.
